Keto (low carb) Cheddar Jalepeno Bacon Biscuits


Do you remember those buttery cheesy biscuits they serve at Red Lobster?  These remind us of those minus the grain and gluten.  They are just as cheesy and delicious but very low in carbohydrates.  In this recipe, Kyndra adds bacon and jalapeño but if that’s not your thing, you could substitute to your heart’s content.  We like the idea of trying chives, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes.  You could even experiment with different cheeses like feta or gouda or goat.  These biscuits deliver on taste and texture and will be a new family favorite.

Keto Cheddar Jalepeno Bacon Biscuits

Yield: 12 biscuits

Keto Cheddar Jalepeno Bacon Biscuits


  1. 6 strips thick cut bacon (cooked crispy and crumbled)
  2. 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 1 1/2 Cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  5. 1 1/4 Cups blanched almond flour
  6. 1/4 cup heavy cream
  7. 1/4 cup water
  8. 1/4 cup chopped pickled jalapeno slices
  9. 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  10. 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  11. 1/4 tsp onion powder
  12. 1/4 tsp garlic powder


  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat cream cheese and egg together until combined
  • Add cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder and mix in using a rubber spatula
  • Mix in almond flour, heavy cream, and water
  • Fold crumbled bacon and chopped jalapenos into the dough
  • Drop heaping mounds of the dough onto a silicone muffin top pan
  • Bake for 20 mins
  • Cool on a cooling rack for 30 mins before serving
