MUST-HAVE BLAZERS

Looking for a simple yet effective way to upgrade your everyday style?  A great fitting blazer is the key.  A good blazer does the trick whether you’re a mom on the go, a corporate lawyer, or traveling overseas.  Just look at the ever elusive French-girl style. It seems they instinctively know to add a classic navy jacket to jeans for a more chic weekend look or a black blazer over their floral dress to give the outfit a pop.  Blazers can be dressed up or down and are an ideal layering piece.  We are grateful to Jecky, a fashion and lifestyle blogger out of Germany, for sharing her post with us on spring Must-Have blazers.  Jecky was also a wonderfully open and sweet guest on our podcast.  Listen in to hear about her style, how and why she started her fashion blog, and some tips for balancing it all.

We are loving these great blazer ideas from Jecky.  Temperatures are particularly transitional in the spring, so you’ll appreciate these thinner more lightweight fabrics.  Perhaps you’ve noticed that plaid blazers are totally ‘in’ this season?  They are popping up everywhere from the runways to more affordable stores like Zara and Forever 21.  We’re definitely obsessed with this pink and red checked one of Jeckys.  We are obsessed with the idea of pairing it with sneakers, jeans, and a T-shirt.

We equally love Jecky’s stunning monochromatic look which she achieves with a longer pale pink blazer.  This pastel number is such a great idea for adding style and fun to any everyday outfit.  We like how she’s paired the look with a lightweight grey sweatshirt and faded jeans; feels very Parisienne, no?
