We are grateful to Viola of The Sunshine Eatery for sharing not only her comfort curry ‘how-to’ video with us but also her dumplings and vanilla crescents. We’re completely enamored with her choice in music, the sound of her sweet voice, and the way she produces her clips. This curry recipe is vegan made with red lentils but is completely versatile so feel free to add or swap for a different protein.
In this video, Viola prepares her family recipe for Chinese Dumplings. There is something so heartwarming about watching her mother’s hands pick and mince chives grown in her garden. We find ourselves desiring of an afternoon visit and shared meal.
Finally, Viola prepares Vanilla Crescent cookies which are a traditional German holiday cookie called Vanillekipferl. Made with almond flour, spelt flour, and lots of vanilla, they’re a true earthy treat. We won’t be waiting for the holidays to make a batch of these to dunk in our morning coffee. Enjoy!
